IC Information:
Name: (Dr) Robert Bruce Banner.
Canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Age: Banner looks to be in his mid-forties. There's no difference in ages.
Preincarnation Species: Human.
Preincarnation Appearance: Picture here
Any differences: No differences between preincarnated Banner and reincarnated Banner. They even wear the same clothes on occasion.
Preincarnated History: [bare bones, links below.]
Bruce's history in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is vague when it comes to his childhood. In fact, it's never even eluded to. Instead it gives us a man who was researching something for what he felt could be the better good in a way, the Super Soldier Serum. Being a renowned physicist, Banner was working to help recreate it, and it all went terribly wrong. An explosion that should have killed Banner resulted in him surviving after having been exposed to extreme amounts of gamma. The amount of gamma, from the sounds of things, could have imploded a small country too.
This had a horrifying effect. Bruce found that whenever his heart rate went over 200, he would painfully mutate into a giant green beast with extreme anger issues. It was so dangerous and uncontrollable that obviously the military wanted it, or more aptly they wanted Bruce. And so began the adventures of Bruce Banner, the physicist needing to leave everything behind to hide out in foreign countries as he researched a way to fix it. Naturally it didn't go well since his girlfriend's old man, General Ross, managed to locate him thus starting another chase all the way back to the US.
Bruce managed to meet up with his on-off girlfriend, run from the military some more, and also get himself an archnemesis when soldier Blonsky decided HE needed to be a big mutated monster too, resulting in Harlem being broken. Very broken. And after somehow managing to salvage the day as a giant green rage machine, Bruce said goodbye to his girlfriend and went off back into hiding again. Saving the day does not get an automatic military pardon from men like General Ross.
Eventually Bruce was tracked down by the SHIELD initiative in Calcutta, acting as a doctor to aid the sick. He was coerced into helping the group track down something called the tesseract. Since it output large amounts of gamma, Bruce was naturally someone they needed on the team. It was awkward, and there were people like Loki trying to mess things up, but they eventually found it.
And then had to fend off a large space army from New York, resulting in Bruce dropping a spoiler: that he'd managed to somehow control himself by being always angry. With that, the Hulk and the other Avengers managed to save New York and the world before sending Loki back to Asgard, and then all going their separate ways.

Reincarnated History: Bruce's life in this incarnation can be described as normal. Normal, normal, normal. Growing up in a middle class household, there wasn't that much to make his childhood outstanding. There were no household seperations or divorces, no large scale events that would twist Banner into a completely different person, and no scientific experiments that went awry. Dr. Brian Banner, an atomic physicist, was more than happy to help his son grow up to enjoy the sciences, and mother Rebecca was more than happy to encourage it too. No secret siblings to torment him, no family household pets dying tragically, it was just all too perfect in a way.
Bruce was mainly a quiet child growing up, and a non-rebellious teenager going through high school who worked hard on earning his grades and making his folks proud. There was barely any kind of rebellion or acting up going on when he even moved away to go to University, the only abnormality being he was top of his class for all courses in his degree, easily gaining scholarships to help pay the tuition fees. Bruce easily moved on to branch out his degree, finally winding up earning a doctorate in Theoretical Physics. Without the issue of exposing himself to ginormous amounts of gamma radiation, and no super soldier serum to be studying, Bruce opted to go the way of teaching at the Locke City University, deciding that it would be a way of helping people. It was that or work for the Government, something that always sounded dodgy to the doctor.
At first it wasn't the easiest job in the world trying to get youngsters interested in Quantum Physics, or how solar flares would have an impact on the city's grid infrastructure, but eventually Bruce managed to settle down into a routine, not bothering to be disturbed if a student or two fell asleep during lectures, or if someone just stared blankly at the Newton equations that amassed the entire board. Instead he managed to just make a non-name for himself. That Doctor who taught science, never got pissed off and sent half his classes out of the room, and never got caught with anything incriminating that could be printed and put up on the walls in the University.
In other words, it's the most boring history out there, one that would make his preincarnation self yearn to be there already. Even though the reincarnated Bruce lives in a house on his own, his job is steady, there's no man hunts, and there's definitely no Other Guy always clamouring to make an appearence and destroy half the lecture room. It's good enough for Bruce. He'll take it.
Also, teaching physics, such a vague term. The correct terminology would be teaching theoretical physics, which is an actual degree. An example of what Bruce lectures on in LCU would look like:
Physics of Matter and Introduction to Quantum Physics
Newtonian and Relativistic Mechanics
Physics of Fields and Waves
Mathematics I
Fabric of Physics
And that would just be the first year. The last year I hear you ask? Well okay then.
Quantum Physics II: Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear and Particle Physics
Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics
Advanced Theoretical Techniques
Mathematical Physics and Computational Quantum Mechanics
Molecular Simulation
Atomic Physics I
Electrons in Solids
Introduction to Quantum Computing
Plasma and Fluids
Analysing the Nanoscale and Magnetism
Special and General Relativity
First Echo: Bruce's first echo was caused by a simple thunderstorm, oddly enough. Normally during storms there's no issue, Bruce is either inside, or in his car. It just so happened that on this day, driving back into town, his car broke down. Bruce opted to walk the mile to the gas station to get it sorted, no big deal. During his walk the heavens opened up, storming ferociously enough for Bruce to duck for cover in a rocky overcrop and sit it out. It wouldn't do to be washed away by a flash flood after all. As he was stood there, huddled up and waiting, a large flash of lightning bright enough to sear the eyes was followed up by the loudest clap of thunder Bruce had ever heard. Before the thunder had even abated, it was enough to trigger something in Bruce's mind. Some kind of a vague memory, being huddled under a rocky overcrop with someone else, feeling extraordarilly angry at the loud noise coming from the sky.Obviously throwing rocks at the thunder makes it stop, you know.
There wasn't anything else to the echo. It wasn't even clear as to what the memory could be, unable to even discern shapes or meaning from it. Merely just the idea that someone else may have been there, and that whatever was going on was enough to make Bruce feel extremely pissed off. Feeling disorientated and perturbed, Bruce huddled up and continued to wait for the storm to pass, idly putting it down to some kind of grading papers stress as he pondered the meaning of some numbers.
Preincarnation Personality: On first sight Doctor Bruce Banner is probably one of the most unassuming guys out there. At five foot nine tall, weighing in at 128lbs he doesn't exactly stand out. And that's just how Bruce likes and wants it. It would be impossible to tell on sight that the man was wanted by the US Military, that not only is Banner a genius but a monster that can wreak total destruction with it's bare hands. He doesn't want to be noticed or to stand out. In fact, Bruce removes himself as far as possible from anything that would "stress" him out. Oddly enough one of those places was going to Calcutta to work as a doctor, feeling that helping those in need would negate the stresses of every day living and avoiding the military. It hadn't worked out so well in South America but that didn't mean he'd stop trying.
Bruce Banner is probably down as one of the smartest men in the field of scientific study. He has expertise in biology, chemistry, engineering and physiology. The strongest part of Bruce's studies fall into the category of nuclear physics, of which he followed up on and earned a Ph.D in. Since his accident, Bruce is also slated to be the expert in gamma radiation. He's a smart man which makes it all the more worse in his own mind as to what happened when creating the gamma experiment with the US Military. He's under no illusions that it wasn't his fault, it is something Banner accepts with a degree of irony and self-depreciation.
Bruce has a tendency to fidget with his hands, lightly wringing them, tapping his fingers or even interlocking them. He's also prone to fidgeting with his glasses if he's just removed them or about to put them on. To most it looks like a nervous habit. However it's revealed that everything Bruce does is done through shades of self control. Everything he does or says is thought through in terms of what could happen. Bruce has taken training and yoga, however he is still prone to "incidents". Since his transformation into the monster known as the Hulk happens when his heart rate reaches 200, anything that could lead to that has to be avoided. Mostly it comes through anger, however it's been shown in both films that fear, trauma and even high impact exercises such as actually getting laid need to be avoided. It's created a man who fears what he could inadvertently cause. Bruce has very little control over the Hulk, only remembering what happens during those times as flashbacks. He hates what he refers to as "the other guy", treating it as a separate entity. And the Hulk treats Bruce in the same way. Mostly Bruce feels that through his own actions with the gamma experiments that caused his affliction, he is nothing but a constant threat to others. He's even had some extreme low points, having come through bouts of depression and self-loathing.
When Bruce is finally cornered into joining a group of people, he shows he is capable of somewhat fitting in. He's fine with shaking hands with others, and even though he's quiet, Bruce will speak up when he needs to make a point. He's also shown sarcasm, normally aimed at himself, though for the most part gets along with most of them. Bruce even proves that he's not as volatile as he once was, pointing out that he wouldn't have gone on board if he couldn't handle being the brunt of pointy objects. That being said there is still the underlying fear of an incident. Everyone is aware of it causing people to tiptoe around the guy. Unless your name is Tony Stark.
And what is it that Bruce fears so much? He calls it "the other guy," or sometimes just "monster" if he's feeling particularly bitter. The public like to use the word Hulk, which sticks amongst the group. When Bruce's heart rate hits over 200, he goes through a painful metamorphosis into something quite different. The change can take up to thirty seconds and is a violent process. Bruce will always be aware that it's happening, and he's even managed to talk with effort in the middle of it. The Hulk is between seven and ten foot tall, weighing in over a thousand pounds - most of which is pure muscle. The Hulk is said to be the darker side of Bruce's psyche, however they are both treated as almost separate entities. Hulk speaks in third person, and even though Bruce claims he can never remember much from being the Hulk, Hulk can remember things from Bruce's memories. This is shown by the way the Hulk acts in protecting Bruce's girlfriend, he also recognises enemies and friends but they are distinguished only by a very fine line. He's a completely loose canon, and the most people can do with the Hulk on their team is hope for the best.
The higher the anger that leads to the transformation, the stronger and angrier Hulk is. He reacts violently to anything and everything, even going so far as to throw a boulder at the sky after a loud clap of thunder. He acts primitive, but does have moderate intelligence, able to fashion weapons out of items or even use pieces of scenery to defend himself. Above all Hulk just wants to be left the hell alone. He speaks very little, leading people to believe he doesn't talk at all only to be surprised when he does. It can be full sentences, but Hulk is a creature of few words, prefering to use his fists instead. Hulk is basically a danger to everyone around him. With his strength and anger combined he generally wreaks a path of destruction and havoc until the change wears off, leaving behind a worn out Bruce Banner to figure out just what the Hell happened.
The most notable thing from the Avengers is that Bruce seems to have gained some kind of control over when he changes. He'll still change involuntarily in times of high stress, such as after being involved in an explosion, however he points out that the reason he seems so calm all the time is because he's always angry. After stating it he changes into the Hulk with barely an after thought, showing that it is possible Bruce keeps his heart rate in high numbers so that things that would be shocking had a smaller impact than usual.
Any differences: Without the issue of the Hulk around, Banner's personality does have some large differences. The main one would be that he no longer has to worry about his heart rate going up. Since he doesn't have to worry about hulking out, there's no issue that results in the man fidgeting, removing himself from tense situations or even avoiding things outright.
With the removal of such a burden, Bruce is also less easy to anger. Without stress, small things that would have been seen as a problem no longer are, and the physicist is more than fine to tackle problems head on without having to seriously think it - and the aftermath - through. There's no need to travel to places where he has to hide from the US Government- Bruce is more than happy to stay in Locke City, content with what he's been doing so far.
Bruce also has more of a sense of humour than usual, and can actually have the odd laugh. Things aren't as super serious as they were in a previous life, there is no giant weight on his shoulders that makes everything seem like it needs to be taken seriously. Whilst he won't be one to pull pranks, he isn't against finding things funny or amusing now and again. He's more talkative, and won't shy away from strangers. After all it's not like they could be working for General Ross as an undercover agent or anything....right?
Abilities:
Superhuman strength, stamina and durability: The Hulk's powers can be likened to that of a bulldozer out of control. Since the experiment that created the alter ego was using the super soldier serum that was actually used for Captain America, the Hulk's powers are pretty strong and up there. His strength is the main part, able to tear cars and tanks in two with his bare hands. The Hulk is able to use his strength for anything he wishes to, though normally it just involves smashing things.
The Hulk also doesn't seem to run out of steam. Bullets are a mild irritant barely making a dent on the creature. He's not an easy beast to take down in any respect, and anyone trying to do so will need to come up with a hell of a plan to do so. The only time the Hulk's powers run out is when he changes back to Bruce Banner, of which there is no set time.
The Hulk has a set of legs on him, tying in to the super strength he is able to jump pretty darned high. It's not something he seems to use often, though if his enemy is up on that rooftop then they sure won't be for long.
Roleplay Sample - Third Person: (Used sample from Demeleier, more than happy to write one up for you guys if need be.)
Bruce groaned, putting the palm of a hand to his forehead. He remembered parting ways and then....waking up on the ground with his back to a tree. He sure as Hell didn't remember walking into a forest. For a brief moment Bruce took a deep breath, taking the time to get his bearings. It was deep foliage all around, trees as far as the eye could see. It was definitely something different alright. Bruce had woken up in places before in the same manner, normally after a rampage. This time though.... something just wasn't right. It only took a few minutes for the doctor to figure it out, reaching up to pluck the crown from his head and peer at it. He'd assumed the weight on his head had been an oncoming headache. Obviously he'd been wrong on that part.
Getting to his feet Bruce noticed that his biggest assumption was also wrong. The Hulk's body mass was so significantly bigger than his own that clothes barely stood a chance. A quick, grief patdown assured Bruce that all his clothes were intact. Either the last store he'd visited had suddenly introduced an extremely elastic brand, or his situation hadn't involved the other guy.
Which made it all the more alarming. The Hulk part Bruce could explain. It was logical (to a point). Now that he knew that the Hulk hadn't been involved it was suddenly all the more complicated. Mysterious, even. And that was a pain. As a nuclear physicist, Bruce wasn't too keen on mysteries or things being vague. There were no facts to support anything as to why he was in a forest, there was nothing that could even remotely cause such a thing.
"Alright, Banner. Focus. You've been in strange places before, this is just another one of those. Right."
With a sigh he rubbed his face with both hands, taking another deep breath. The last thing he needed was to freak out over it. There was nothing like saying hello to some indigenous tribe by bursting into their camp and levelling it as a giant, green rage monster. Just the mental image of it made the man snort quietly to himself. He doubted there were any people living in the woods, but it was slightly amusing all the same once the horror abated.
"Banner you are going crazy," Bruce murmured to himself, placing hands in his pockets as he started to walk. There was no overwhelming worry about not being found. Between S.H.I.E.L.D and the US military, someone would find him at some point in time. They always seemed to be too good at that for sure. Bruce focused on what would happen when he found his way back to civilization. Tony would probably laugh for a day or two at the whole thing. There would even be jokes about it. Just thinking on it took Bruce's heart rate down a few notches and the man nodded to himself. Things would work out somehow whether he wanted them to or not. Since it seemed so quiet he was going to enjoy it. No fuss, no stress, no big deals spontaneously happening. It sounded too good to be true but Bruce wasn't going to argue with it.

Well this is new, and I certainly didn't expect to find a community or whatever this is here. Most likely some student project? Hard to say when everything written appears to be random. Pretty well made though, doesn't seem glitchy and by that I mean it hasn't melted my phone yet.
I'll get around to testing that out on someone else's phone.
[Bruce isn't exactly sure in what he's meant to even be saying in here.]
I guess that's it then? Unless there's actually a reason for this. Also, if you're in the Thermodynamics seminar this week, please remember your papers are due.
And in advance - no, your dog did not eat it.
Any Questions? If a train travelling from New York is going at 60 miles per hour, and one headed in the opposite direction is going at 40 miles per hour, how many donuts can Fury stop Stark from eating when he's in one of those moods?
